Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1. What hours can I pick up my mail?

    Customers may pickup mail 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday and 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Saturday.

  • 2. What will my address look like?

    Your address will include our street address along with your personal name (and/or) business name. Our name does NOT appear as part of the address and includes an account number which looks similar to a suite number.

  • 3. What about parcels?

    We receive parcels from all major couriers including UPS, FedEx, DHL etc.

  • 4. How can I have my mail forwarded?

    Customers that select forwarding services may put a small postage deposit of your own choosing as an escrow account. Packages, parcels and mail subject to $5 handling charge for processing. 

  • 5. How much of a postage deposit?

    Customers are required to pay a minumum $35 for postage deposit for domestic services.  International postage requires more to be determined.

  • 6. Can I sometimes pick up my mail and sometimes have it forwarded?

    Of course. Additional rates apply.

  • 7. Do you handle International accounts?

    Yes, we have many accounts worldwide. Please give us a call if you have special requests.

  • 8. Can I change or use more than one service?

    Yes! Customers may select another service offered at the renewal period.


    Customers may also select two or more of our services for a discount of $15 per month. Example, you may want to access your mail using our key box service, have us forward it when you are traveling and access it digitally through our virtual mail service.

  • 9. What happens if I cancel my service?

    New accounts may cancel within 7 days for a full refund. No refund is given after 7 days. 


    Regarding postage escrow, upon expiration, cancellation or termination of services, My Mail Center. will:


    Re-mail (i.e., forward) CUSTOMER's mail for six (6) months, provided CUSTOMER pays the postage, packaging material, and forwarding fees in advance. My Mail Center reserves the right to hold any postage escrow paid by the CUSTOMER during this time to cover necessary fees, as mentioned above. (Any postage escrow funds not used in six (6) months will be refunded.) Additionally, CUSTOMER must pay a monthly storage fee of $10.00 for month 1, and to be determined for months 2 through 6 in advance for the time period that mail is to be forwarded. It is the CUSTOMER's responsibility to make arrangements with My Mail Center. to identify any mail forwarding needs prior to the expiration, cancellation or termination of this AGREEMENT.


    Store the mail or packages for up to six (6) months provided CUSTOMER pays a storage fee of $20.00 per month for the time period in which My Mail Center holds the mail or package(s), plus a service fee of to be determined for each time CUSTOMER visits The Mail Center of Chicago, Inc. to pick up such items. It is the CUSTOMER's responsibility to make arrangements with My Mail Center to identify any mail storage needs prior to the expiration, cancellation or termination of this AGREEMENT.


    Retain CUSTOMER's mail, other than Unsolicited Mail, at the Center for a period of ten (10) days, if the customer leaves no forwarding fees and forwarding address. After such time, any mail or package may be discarded or destroyed.


    Discard or destroy any "Unsolicited Mail" (e.g., bulk mail; mail addressed as "occupant," "current resident" or similar designation; or coupons, advertising or other promotional material) delivered to or remaining at My Mail Center.
